Preparing for SAP-C03: begin with the current scope
A familiar service list can hide an unfamiliar decision. Before choosing study material, open the current official exam guide and compare its tasks with what you can explain and demonstrate.
Use the official guide as your checklist.
The current SAP-C03 guide organizes scored content into five domains: architecture design and implementation built for the cloud (25%); security, compliance and governance (25%); cost-optimized architecture design (15%); resilience, migration and business continuity (15%); and operational excellence and automation (20%). It includes AI-integrated architectural decisions; model training and fine-tuning are outside the stated target-candidate scope.
Read the official SAP-C03 exam guide. The guide also links to AWS’s SAP-C02/SAP-C03 comparison. Use that comparison for exam-version changes rather than assuming a book with a similar code covers the same scope.
Turn a task statement into evidence.
For each task, write three short notes: a design you can explain, an alternative you can reject for a specific reason, and a small exercise or documentation check that could reveal a mistaken assumption.
For example, “choose a recovery design” is a topic. “Explain whether the complete recovery path meets the business deadline, including application checks” is a testable question. Try our short recovery exercise.
Build a study sequence around your gaps.
Mark a task as ready only when you can explain the trade-off without leaning on a memorized answer. Revisit uncertain choices after a worked example, an original practice question or a practical exercise. A chapter completed is not the same as a decision mastered.
Disperity’s two-volume series is one independent study resource. Our reading-order guide explains its division of topics so you can judge whether it fits your needs.
